Role Description
The Production Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom, with some flexibility for working from home. This role oversees daily production activities on the shop floor, ensuring output meets quality, safety, and delivery targets. The Production Manager plans and schedules production, allocates resources, and monitors workflows to optimize efficiency. They collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams, track performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. The role also includes supervising and coaching production staff, resolving operational issues, and supporting compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications

- Strong production planning, workflow management, and resource allocation skills.
- Experience with quality control, process improvement, and safety compliance in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership capabilities, including team supervision, performance management, and coaching.
- Solid communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and work with engineering and operations data.
- Proficiency with manufacturing software, ERP systems, and basic data analysis tools.
- Prior experience in industrial, automotive, machinery, or maritime components manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Relevant qualification in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
