Production Manager - Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

Essex | £50,000 + Benefits

Are you a hands-on Production Manager who enjoys improving performance, developing people, and driving meaningful operational change?

Our client is a well-established, highly respected FMCG manufacturing business with a long-standing reputation for quality, reliability, and customer service. As part of ongoing growth plans, they are seeking an experienced Production Manager to help shape the next phase of operational development.

This is an opportunity to join a stable business with an experienced workforce and a leadership team genuinely committed to investing in improvements, efficiency initiatives, and future growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead a production operation of approximately 40 employees, including two Shift Managers and agency labor as required. While the operation performs well, there is a clear opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to identify efficiencies, improve line performance, reduce waste, enhance labor utilization, and help introduce a more structured approach to continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
