Production Manager (Manufacturing)

£70,000 - £80,000 + Progression + Training + Flexible working hours + Private Medical Insurance

Are you an experienced Production Manager from a manufacturing background who is looking to join a specialist company that can offer you training in a new industry whilst also providing chances for direct progression to a director level?

The company is a growing manufacturer and supplier of bespoke furniture solutions, they can provide solutions for custom high-end kitchens, studies and libraries.

Since launching the company has built up a high value client base through their unique approach to projects and employee satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, overseeing project delivery and managing a team of approximately 18 - 25 people.

This role would suit a production manager from a manufacturing background who is looking to step into a new industry and take control of the production department and make it their own.

The Role:

  • Lead, manage and develop a production team of approximately 18-25 people.
  • Monitor performance against agreed targets and follow up commitments consistently.
  • Build an effective management structure through supervisors and chargehands rather than personally becoming absorbed in production tasks.
  • Establish and manage meaningful production KPIs.
  • Monitor output, productivity, labour utilisation and non-productive time.
  • Hold effective daily production meetings and communicate priorities clearly.

The Person:

  • Experienced within a manufacturing environment in a senior management role.
  • Experience setting targets and managing performance against them.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers.
