We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our SMT, Conventional Assembly, Inspection and Test Teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven manufacturing professional to play a key role in delivering operational excellence, developing people, and supporting the continued growth of our business.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritising production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. You will plan and administer procedures and budgets whilst making budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, control capital expenditures, and direct/indirect labour. The ability to develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. You will be responsible for selecting, developing, and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SMT, Conventional Assembly, Inspection and Test Teams.
- Ensure customer delivery schedules are achieved through effective production planning and execution.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchasing to ensure material availability and resolve supply issues.
- Schedule production activities and proactively communicate any risks or deviations from plan.
- Develop, coach, motivate and support team members to achieve individual and departmental objectives.
- Create a multi-skilled workforce through effective training and development programmes.
- Set and review SMART objectives and performance targets for direct reports.
- Plan resources and capacity to meet current and future customer demand.
- Manage labour utilisation and work towards agreed productivity and labour cost targets.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement across production processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, company procedures, and health & safety requirements.
- Promote and uphold OSI's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
- To adhere to and understand the quality systems.
- Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. Ensure that direct report(s) are trained and evaluated on their knowledge and adherence to the company’s values, Code of Ethics and Conduct, and applicable compliance policies.

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or have proven electronics and electro-mechanical manufacturing experience and managing a large team. Essential.
- Excellent knowledge of production and electronic processes, with a solid understanding of quality and health & safety standards. Essential.
- A high level of coaching expertise together with developed leadership and influencing skills to help drive improvement and growth through culture, learning and experience, challenging at the appropriate times. Essential.
- Proven knowledge and experience of the application of continuous improvement systems, standards, and tools and how to execute and monitor these through production teams. Essential.
- Ideally LSS trained. Desirable.
- Strong MS Office & IT skills required. Essential.
