Role Overview
This position is responsible for the overall management of production and its continuous improvement at the Lakeside facility. To achieve this the role assumes overall responsibility for leading production teams in achieving production to meet the agreed financial and strategic goals, product quality, product cost, and employee safety. It will require coordination with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements and leverage resources to motivate personnel to create a high-performance culture. To enable this lead LEAN process deployment, training and mentoring at the plant level and the implementation of LEAN strategy, which will drive improvements in factory margins, production manning plan, capacity plan (supporting SIOP step 3), product delivery performance (Quality, OTD, OTC, Past Dues, absorption targets, productivity), employee safety and reductions in product/process variation.
Responsibilities
- Strategically lead and direct all production activities to ensure customer requirements are met while delivering world-class performance in Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery (OTD), On-Time to Cycle (OTC), Past Due reduction, productivity, inventory, and cost performance. Ensuring production manning plan is in place for covering plants monthly targets, creating High Performance Working teams, Leading and improving Tier structures, daily accountability for production function.
- Lead, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and manufacturing teams to build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, employee engagement, continuous learning, and succession readiness.
- Drive achievement of plant profit plan commitments by improving labor productivity, capacity utilization, inventory performance, manufacturing efficiency, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Provide leadership and accountability for the deployment and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing, Eaton Business System (EBS), and Eaton Continuous Improvement System (ECIS) methodologies across manufacturing and supporting functions, driving productivity improvements, operational efficiency, waste elimination, and factory cost-out initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement activities including training, coaching, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, value stream improvements, benchmarking, and deployment of EBS tools to develop organizational capability and embed a culture of operational excellence. Accountable for improving and sustaining Eaton Operational Assessment (OpA) performance through disciplined execution of standard work, operational controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability requirements, including Eaton MESH standards, local regulatory obligations, and corporate policies, while fostering a zero-incident culture. (Supporting MESH requirements by being champion)
- Ensure Quality Leadership Index (QLI) objectives are achieved and that product quality, process compliance, and product integrity requirements are fully integrated into daily manufacturing operations and continuous improvement activities. Drive manufacturing quality performance through robust problem-solving, root cause analysis, corrective actions, considering DFMEA/PFMEA and lessons learned, audit readiness, and adherence to all customer, regulatory, and aerospace quality standards through Quality council.
- Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, and Quality functions to support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring successful industrialization, manufacturability, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved throughout product launch phases.
- Serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, operational reviews, talent development, succession planning, and the execution of site goals and business objectives.

Qualifications
- Multiple years of related professional and Supervisory/Managerial experience. Good understanding of Eaton systems preferable
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes
- Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational change to control and reduce cost.
- Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams
- A robust understanding of Quality and product integrity including the deployment of key initiatives to assure Quality and safeguard the end user. In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and concepts and tool sets as they relate to LEAN systems integration.
- Familiarity with DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, PPAP, and controlled processes
- Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100, or QS 9000 standards is a plus
- A sound understanding of safety in the workplace including key initiatives to promote and establish a safety culture.
- Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, subcontracting, inventory control, stockroom operations.
