Job Title: Production Manager
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead a high-performing team within our fast-paced bakery operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused leader who thrives on delivering operational excellence, developing teams, and driving continuous improvement.
As Production Manager, you will be accountable for the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of production plans while ensuring the highest standards of quality, service and food safety. You'll lead Production Area Managers, Team Leaders and shop-floor colleagues, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop Production Area Managers, Team Leaders and production colleagues to build a high-performance culture.
- Deliver daily production plans safely, efficiently and to customer specification.
- Drive performance across key operational KPIs including safety, quality, service, cost, waste and labour efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement projects, problem-solving activities and operational excellence initiatives.
- Ensure accurate stock management, labour reporting, process compliance and manufacturing governance.

- Proven experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar leadership role within food manufacturing, FMCG or bakery operations.
- Strong people leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing teams.
- Experience managing KPIs, labour utilisation, waste reduction and operational costs.
- Knowledge of food safety, quality systems and health & safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience using root cause analysis and Lean manufacturing principles.
