Production & Materials Planner (interim) – Thirsk – £35,000 - £40,000 (pro rata)
Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be supporting an established manufacturing business in Thirsk who are looking to recruit an Interim Production & Materials Planner to support their team on a 10-12 week contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced planner to step straight into a fast-paced manufacturing environment and add real value from day one, converting sales forecasts into achievable production plans and managing raw material supply across a busy SKU base.
The Role
- Convert sales forecasts into achievable production plans, schedules and material plans, balancing customer service against operational capability
- Translate production plans into material requirements and raise supplier purchase orders, managing lead times to keep production supplied
- Manage risk within the plan, amending schedules where needed to protect customer service and stock targets
- Share forecasts with suppliers and work with them to resolve material availability issues
- Monitor stock positions and minimise obsolete and over-stock values
- Monitor plan attainment by work centre, working with operations to identify root cause of any shortfalls
- Maintain clear, accurate communication with operations teams on schedule changes

- Strong Production and Raw Materials Planning experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with short lead times in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable planning and managing supply across 300+ SKUs
- Advanced Excel capability
