About The Role
This Production Op role in Renfrew involves assembling generators within a skilled manufacturing team. Working full time on a temporary basis, initially, the successful applicant will build products using hand and power tools, interpret basic engineering drawings, and follow written instructions. Production Operative – Generator Assembly Renfrew
Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting Production Operatives for a well-established and growing business based in Renfrew. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with hands-on experience who enjoys practical, assembly-based work.
The Role
Working as part of a skilled production team, you will be involved in the assembly and build of generators, ensuring all products meet high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling generators using hand and power tools
- Reading and following basic engineering drawings and work instructions
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure high standards are met
- Supporting the production line to meet daily targets
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors

What We’re Looking For
- Previous production, assembly, or manufacturing experience
- Confident using hand tools
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Reliability and a positive, team-focused attitude
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am – 3:00pm with early finish on Fridays
Pay & Benefits
- £12.71 per hour for the first 12 weeks
- £13.66 per hour after 12 weeks
- Overtime available and paid at a premium rate
- Opportunity to secure a permanent position
