- Establish robust standard operating procedures, work instructions and document control, ensuring consistent, auditable ways of working across all shifts.
- Own compliance across quality, health & safety and environmental standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), leading customer and third-party audits and driving corrective actions through to closure.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Hands-on experience of implementing and maintaining quality and compliance management systems (ISO 9001 as a minimum) and leading external audits.
- Experience of working within a private equity-backed or similarly investor-led environment would be advantageous.
- Degree-qualified in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; Lean Six Sigma and IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications desirable.
- Leads from the front but from a position of mentoring, empowerment and achieving objectives with the engagement of the workforce.
