Standard Operative - Jelly Department

As a Standard Operative in the Jelly Department, you will handle the baked pork pie products. You will follow set processes to make sure the pies are made safely and to the right standard. You will also move trays and finished pies around the department. This is a fast-paced and labour-intensive department with a lot of manual handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hand weigh toppings onto pies to the correct specification
  • Pour jelly onto pies in line with the required specification
  • Move completed trays back onto the racks
  • Move loaded trays from the racks and place them into baskets
  • Remove empty trays from the conveyor and feed them into the tray wash
  • Feed wire trays into the JOM machine
  • Take full trays of jellied pies from the conveyor and transfer them to a dolly
  • Move full dollies to the chiller
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety rules
