Production Operative

Production Operative

About the Role

A Production Operative will support the project and flow sides of the business within any area of Operations, adaptable to changing business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

(Note: Not an exhaustive list)

  • Maintain a safety-first culture by prioritising personal and team safety
  • Comply with all area-based health and safety protocols, supporting safety-led initiatives
  • Perform assembly of mechanical metalwork and product components
  • Conduct preparation and termination of wiring, with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
  • Follow standard work requirements and quality standards diligently
  • Pack equipment efficiently using best practices
  • Proactively contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Assemble various sub-assemblies as part of the production workflow
  • Inspect parts before they enter production lines
  • Operate effectively in a busy, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Adhere to set deadlines and work efficiently as part of a cohesive team
  • Maintain a clean, organised work area in compliance with all PPE and workwear regulations

Essential Criteria

Applicants must fulfil the following:

  • Experience in Electrical and mechanical assembly within a manufacturing/production environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with multiple computer software systems
  • Direct experience working from electrical schematic drawings
  • Demonstrated concentration, precision, and sustained attention to detail under lengthy or pressure-heavy conditions
  • Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy while operating under deadlines
  • Hands-on experience with a range of hand, power, and air tools
  • Strong teamwork capabilities, with the ability to exercise independence and initiative

This role may require extended periods of continuous movement/concentration.#
