About The Role
Based in Wolverhampton, this full-time Production Operative position with Pertemps offers £15.80 per hour on a double day shift rotation (6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Friday). You will join an industrial manufacturing and distribution operation, handling, sorting, and moving materials safely across the facility. Forklift Truck (FLT) training is provided, allowing you to operate trucks for transporting goods. The role suits reliable, safety-conscious individuals seeking consistent, long-term work. Key Responsibilities
As a Production Operative, Your Duties Will Include
- Safely handling, sorting, and moving products and materials throughout the production facility.
- Operating Forklift Trucks to transport products and materials across the site.
- Full FLT training is provided, with forklift operation forming a key part of the role.
- Carrying out visual quality inspections and identifying damaged or defective products.
- Inspecting pallets and loads to ensure they are secure, stable, and ready for dispatch.
- Preparing products for collection and distribution.
- Working closely with colleagues to meet production and operational targets.
- Following all health, safety, and quality procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Requirements
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Are
- Reliable and punctual.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
- Committed to maintaining high health and safety standards.
- Positive team players with good communication skills.
- Detail-focused with the ability to identify quality issues.
- Willing to learn new skills and operate machinery.
- Previous experience as a Production Operative, Warehouse Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Factory Operative, or FLT Driver is advantageous but not essential, as full Forklift Truck (FLT) training is provided.
