What We're Looking For
Join our team as a Production Operative! We're looking for someone with basic joinery or woodworking skills, or a keen interest in this area, to assist in assembling furniture, making adjustments, and fitting components. Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to meet tight deadlines are essential.
What You'll Be Doing
- To carry out daily tasks as set out by the Production Manager or Supervisor
- Assemble furniture, as well as fit additional component parts or make adjustments as needed
- To keep your area and the workshop tidy and safe
- Help count stock as necessary
- Communication with Customer Services/other departments as needed
- Working as part of a team and supporting with other warehouse tasks as and when required
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed
What Success Looks Like
You'll be successful in this role by producing quality work, meeting deadlines, keeping a safe and organised workspace, and working reliably as part of the wider team to keep production running smoothly.
Requirements
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous demonstrated joinery/wood-working experience (ideal but not essential)
- Comfortable with heavy lifting and you will carry out manual handling training as part of induction
- Confident in the use of power tools and equipment
- Reliable and punctual - a real team-player
- Accurate and careful
- Takes responsibility and ensures the job gets done
- Flexible and willing to support in other areas as needed
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
