Reporting to: Warehousing Manager
Hours: 8:30-4:30pm Monday-Friday - 1hr break 37.5 hrs per week
Pay: £12.82ph +Holiday, Pension and Adecco Benefits

Overview
We are seeking a Production Operative to join our Warehouse team in Colchester. This is a hands-on role involving the decanting, repacking, weighing, and blending of materials in a production environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring products are handled accurately, safely, and in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality standards, and health and safety procedures. A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Production Duties
- Decant and repack raw materials into designated containers.
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and blend liquid and powder raw materials in accordance with formulations and procedures.
- Produce blended materials approved formulas and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Decant finished blends and compounds into specified containers and packaging.
- Ensure production activities are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Quality & Compliance
- Correctly label all materials, containers, tanks, and buckets, including incomplete compounds.
- Complete all production documentation accurately and clearly.
- Prepare and submit samples to Quality Control when required.
- Adhere to company quality procedures and standards.
- Follow COSHH guidelines and safe chemical handling practices.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (Essential).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe manual handling practices.
- Basic understanding of quality standards and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, organised, and safety-conscious approach to work.
