Position Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our existing production team within our Power & Industrial (P&I) division based in Cramlington, Northumberland. The successful candidate will be a valuable part of the team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality.
Position Responsibilities:
- Follow all company health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.
- Work on the filter production line with consistent speed and accuracy.
- Packing of N-hance projects in accordance with AAF standards.
- Transfer pleated media to the assembly line.
- Ensure that the Pleater machine is supplied with media rolls.
- Carry out water integrity tests and ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Report any defects, non-conformities, equipment issues or safety concerns to management.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation as required.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised and compliant with 5S housekeeping standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
- Assist with loading, unloading and movement of materials and finished products when required.

Person Specification:
Education, Qualifications and Affiliations
Essential:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) / BTEC National Certificate.
Desirable:
- Apprenticeship in a related engineering discipline.
Qualifications may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Experience
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Proven experience as a Factory / Production Operative or similar position.
- Previous experience of working in a manufacturing/engineering company.
- Computer literate and able to use a wide range of software packages.
Desirable:
- Previous experience gained within the industry or similar industries.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
Licenses or Certifications
Essential:
- Eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Valid passport.
- Full driving license.
- Forklift license.
- Industry Standard Certificates: i.e. First Aid, IOSH Working Safely etc.
