Production Operative

Production Operative Role

A Production Operative will work across any Operations area, supporting project and flow sides of the business as needed, aligned with business requirements.

Essential Duties (Non-Exhaustive)

  • Ensure safety for self and team members remains top priority
  • Comply with health and safety requirements and contribute to safety-led initiatives
  • Perform assembly of mechanical metalwork and product components
  • Conduct preparation and termination of wiring
  • Read from and interpret electrical schematic drawings
  • Follow defined standard work requirements
  • Pack equipment according to best methods as instructed
  • Adhere to all quality standards
  • Proactively support Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Perform other reasonable duties within business needs

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assemble various sub-assemblies for production
  • Inspect parts before use in production processes
  • Operate flexibly in a busy working environment
  • Meet target deadlines and work efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working area
  • Comply with PPE / workwear requirements

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly within manufacturing/production
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience using various computer software systems
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematic drawings
  • High concentration, focus, and attention to detail over extended periods
  • Capacity to handle pressure and tight deadlines efficiently
  • Familiarity with hand, power, and air tools
  • Teamwork skills with the ability to adapt independently when required

Note: This role may involve working on foot for extended periods.
