Job Summary
To produce Blended, Baked Breadcrumb, and Rusk products in line with the Master Production Schedule adhering to all Food safety, Health and safety, and Human Resource company policies and procedures at all times.
Report any issues observed relating to Quality, Safety, Sanitation, Machinery, or Throughput to the Area Shift Manager.
Your main activities will be:
- Baking of Breadcrumb or Rusk Products
- Blending Ingredients
- Packing and stacking of baked or Blended Products

- Manufacturing: Manufacture and pack product in line with work instructions ensuring target dates and Manufacturing targets are met, adhering to Corporate Manufacturing Standards. To minimise waste of products. To understand the critical control points identified through HACCP and ensure that they are in operation at all times.
- Quality: Ensure product is manufactured to the required specification and that product packaging and labelling is correct, adhering to Corporate Quality Standards and ensuring that a high level of quality is maintained through all production processes.
- Documentation: Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner. To assist in the review and update (where necessary) of all work instructions and procedures when required.
- Sanitation: Ensure that the work area is clean at all times, adhering to Corporate Sanitation Standards and ensuring that the department is operating to the highest standards of hygiene.
- Health & Safety: Ensure that all tasks are conducted safely, adhering to NWF Health & Safety Regulations working in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to follow all company procedures. Report any Near Miss or Accidents to your Area Shift Manager.
- Other: Perform additional duties as commensurate with the role.

- Basic food hygiene qualification (desirable)
Personal Attributes Based on Job Description
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and to be numerate. Basic knowledge of Health & Safety. Ability to problem solve. Computer literate. Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Willing to work different shifts. Knowledge of working in a bakery environment (desirable). Previous food factory experience (desirable).

- Position: Production Operative A Shift Nights 1900 – 0700
- Continental Shift
- Salary during Training: £41,520.61 (inclusive of 34% shift allowance)
- Once fully trained: £46,134.57 (inclusive of 34% shift allowance)
