Production Operative - Candles and Toiletries
Home County Co., Buckinghamshire (LU7 0LT), relocating to Buckingham October 2026 | Full-time, permanent | Proposed start September 2026
Home County Co. is a fast-growing British home fragrance and toiletries manufacturer, hand-crafting products inspired by Britain's most beautiful places. With 500+ wholesale stockists and a thriving direct-to-consumer business, we're scaling quickly – and we're looking for a Manufacturing Operative to join our production team.
Please note: we're relocating premises in October 2026, to a new unit within 15 minutes of our current site – there will be no material change to your commute.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on, physically demanding production role at the heart of how our products are made – hand-pouring candles, filling diffusers, and working across our product range to a high standard. You'll work closely with the Production Planner, who manages stock and scheduling, and will report to management. You'll be on your feet for most of the day, so being comfortable in a busy production environment is a must.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
