The Role

To offload the inbound trailers of pallets and top boards from suppliers and customers. This also includes product returns and checking pallets and top boards for outbound to the customer. Working hours are from 8am until 4pm with flexibility to work shifts as required.

Main Duties

  • Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect top boards and pallets for contamination and report any issues identified.
  • Operate designated machinery in accordance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
  • Follow established quality control policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required quality checks and reporting accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area.
  • Report equipment defects and maintenance requirements, including forklift issues, to the Team Leader.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company policies, reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute positively to team performance.
  • Contribute as a member of the Yate Despatch Team during day shift operations as required.
  • Follow safe manual handling practices at all times.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • FLT experience.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.
  • Ability to work independently without compromising safety, quality, or productivity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating similar machinery or equipment.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
