We currently have a temporary role available within the DS Smith site at Smethwick. This role is ideal for someone with previous Warehouse, production or manufacturing experience.
Role: Production Operative
Shifts:
- Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm and Friday 6am - 1pm
- and the following week Monday-Thursday 2pm-10pm and Friday 1pm-8pm
Pay: £15.75 per hour
Duration: 3 months initially
Location: DS Smith, Summit Crescent, Smethwick, West Midlands. B66 1BT
Role & Responsibilities
As a Production/ Warehouse operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods, from receiving to dispatch. You'll be part of a friendly, collaborative team committed to providing excellent service.

Main tasks include
- Picking and packing
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a warehouse operative
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Physical stamina for warehouse work.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
