Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit reliable and motivated Production Operatives to join our key Department.

Role Overview

As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating operating machinery to convert large rolls of material into smaller, customer-specific sizes. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently met.

£13 - £13.50 per hour

Monday to Friday

Shifts on rotation:

  • 6am - 2pm
  • 8am - 4pm
  • 2pm - 10pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor slitting machines safely and efficiently
  • Set up machinery according to job specifications
  • Measure, cut, and rewind materials
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
  • Record production data accurately
  • Identify and report faults, defects, or machine issues
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures at all times
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet targets

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred)
  • Experience operating machinery (slitting experience desirable but not essential)
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
