Role Description
The Production Operative is a full-time, on-site role based in London, working within the smoked fish production facility. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Preparing raw fish for smoking
- Operating and monitoring smoking and production equipment
- Packaging finished products to the required standards

The role involves:

- Following production schedules
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the work area
- Adhering to food safety and health and safety procedures
The Production Operative also:
- Supports inventory handling
- Assists with basic quality checks
- Collaborates with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and timely production
Qualifications
- Ability to support Production Planning and follow scheduled tasks to meet daily and weekly output targets.
- Strong Communication skills to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments.
- Attention to detail and commitment to Quality Control to maintain product consistency, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Capacity to assist with Production Management activities, such as monitoring workflow, reporting issues, and supporting process improvements.
- Willingness to participate in Training and learn new processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Experience in food production, manufacturing, or a similar environment is beneficial.
- Understanding of basic food safety and health and safety practices, or readiness to be trained.
- Physical ability to carry out manual tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling products and materials.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a diverse team.
