About the Role

HOYA Lens UK is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Production Operative to join our lens coating team. This hands-on role combines machine operation with manual processes to support the production of high-quality optical lenses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coating of optical lenses in line with quality standards
  • Operating machinery (approximately 20% of the role)
  • Performing manual tasks (approximately 80% of the role)
  • Inspecting products to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
  • Carrying out basic machine maintenance and calibration
  • Performing daily equipment and process checks
  • Understanding and working towards key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Complying with all company rules, procedures, and health & safety regulations

Skills and Qualifications

  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Good manual dexterity (nimble-fingered)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines

Shift patterns we are looking for include rotating Monday - Friday 10pm-6am and Tuesday- Saturday 6am-2pm.
