About The Role
HOYA Lens UK is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Production Operative to join our lens coating team. This hands-on role combines machine operation with manual processes to support the production of high-quality optical lenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Coating of optical lenses in line with quality standards
- Operating machinery (approximately 20% of the role)
- Performing manual tasks (approximately 80% of the role)
- Inspecting products to ensure quality and accuracy
- Completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
- Carrying out basic machine maintenance and calibration
- Performing daily equipment and process checks
- Understanding and working towards key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Complying with all company rules, procedures, and health & safety regulations

Skills And Qualifications
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach
- Good manual dexterity (nimble-fingered)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines

Shift patterns we are looking for include rotating Monday - Friday 10pm-6am and Tuesday- Saturday 6am-2pm.
