Fig-HR is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of United Composite Doors, a growing manufacturer specialising in high-quality composite doors.

United Composite Doors takes real pride in the quality of its products, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail and delivering consistently high standards to its customers. As the business continues to grow, they are expanding their production team and looking for reliable, hardworking people to join them.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established manufacturing business where quality craftsmanship and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we do.

You'll be responsible for preparing and spraying a wide range of internal and external composite doors, ensuring every product leaves our factory to the highest possible standard. Whether you already have spraying experience or are looking to develop a new skill, we'll provide full training and support to help you become a fully competent sprayer.

As your skills develop, you'll have the opportunity to progress from the entry rate to the fully competent rate. In addition to your hourly pay, you'll also be eligible to earn a monthly performance bonus.

  • Preparing doors and components for spraying, including sanding, filling and masking where required.
  • Mixing paints, lacquers and coatings to the required specifications.
  • Spraying doors and associated products to a consistently high standard.
  • Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Carrying out touch-ups and rectification work where necessary.
  • Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment to ensure it remains in excellent working order.
  • Keeping the spray booth and surrounding work area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the production team to achieve daily production targets and customer deadlines.
  • Reporting any quality issues, equipment faults or material shortages promptly.

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in spraying, finishing or a similar manufacturing role (preferred but not essential).
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving a high-quality finish.
  • Good practical skills and manual dexterity.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Good time management and reliability.
  • An understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing or production environment.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday

  • Working Hours: 7:00am – 4:30pm
  • Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch break plus two paid 15-minute rest breaks
  • Paid Hours: 45 hours per week

Training & Progression

We are committed to investing in our people and providing the training needed to build a long-term career with Universal Composite Doors.

Full training will be provided. Once you have successfully completed your training and can confidently spray all product ranges to the required standard, your hourly rate will increase from £14.50 per hour to £15.50 per hour.
