Picker/Packer Operator

Balmoral Tanks Ltd is a leading European engineering design and manufacturing company. Following significant investment in both our people and facilities, we now offer what is believed to be the most comprehensive single-source range of tank products in the EU.

We’re looking for a Picker/Packer Operator to join our team. The jobholder will be part of a two-man team structure. Responsibility is to accurately as a team “In a timely manner” final inspect pre-packed items to set guidelines to ensure accuracy and conformity of goods being Picked and Packaged requested from BOM’s (Bills of Materials). These items predominantly comply of numerous engineering products manufactured in-house along with various BIP items that when combined make-up full kits of parts that are required to fully construct our product on various customer sites worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders in line with Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Final inspection of pre-packed items to ensure accuracy and conformity
  • Maintain 100% accuracy in picking, packing, wrapping and labelling to company standards
  • Prepare goods and paperwork for despatch, supporting on-time-in-full (OTIF) targets
  • Operate forklifts, pump trucks and powered pallet trucks (where trained)
  • Load outbound consignments when required
  • Maintain live and accurate record-keeping throughout the process
  • Carry out general warehouse duties and participate in stock checks
  • Work to strict deadlines, KPIs and productivity targets
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in line with 5S standards
  • Adhere to all health, safety and company policies at all times
  • Work collaboratively as part of the wider team, demonstrating company core values

  • Able to read basic engineering drawings
  • Experience in a despatch, warehouse, or factory environment (desirable)
  • A strong team player who is also confident working independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comfortable working in an environment where accountability and ownership matter
