Job Title: Evaluation Operator

Location: Enfield EN3
Contract: 6 Months (Rolling)
Shift Pattern: 5 on / 4 off (Rotating Days & Nights, 12.5-hour shifts)

Shift Details

  • 5 days on / 4 days off rotation
  • Day Shift: 05:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 5:30 PM – 06:00 AM

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Evaluation Operator to join a production environment. This role involves processing materials to produce homogeneous samples for analysis and evaluation. The position requires working in a physically demanding, industrial setting with strict health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process materials including solutions, powders, and metallics
  • Carry out operations
    • Incineration
    • Solvent/solid separation
    • Milling and blending
    • Melting processes
  • Produce consistent and homogeneous samples for assay testing
  • Accurately complete documentation and input data into Traksys or similar systems
  • Follow strict Health & Safety (H&S) procedures at all times
  • Use Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) while working on the shop floor
  • Perform routine operational tasks independently (including some lone working)

Mandatory Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Comfortable working in a dirty, dusty, and physically demanding environment
  • Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts
  • Ability to complete manual handling tasks

Additional Requirements

  • Non-smoker / non-vaper (must not have smoked or vaped in the last 6 months)
  • Must pass a nicotine test after interview
  • Ability to travel reliably to site (public transport not suitable)
  • Comfortable with lone working when required
