Overview - Production Operator (Food Manufacture) - Greenford, London
Join our Manufacturing team as a Production Operator, playing a hands-on role in manufacturing, labelling and packing Belazu products to the highest food safety and quality standards. What The Day Job Looks Like
As a Production Operator, you will:
- Manufacture, label and pack products with precision and accuracy to meet customer specifications.
- Operate machinery as required, including start-up, shutdown and cleaning procedures.
- Assist in changeovers and adjustments to optimise production efficiency.
- Handle, move and store raw materials and packaging safely, using correct manual handling techniques.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet company standards before shipment.
- Follow all health & safety procedures, wear and maintain PPE, and report hazards or near misses immediately.
- Participate in weekly physical stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor and reduce material waste, disposing of waste in line with environmental and company regulations.
- Meet or exceed KPIs, including efficiency, quality and waste reduction, and maintain consistent production targets.
- Take part in daily team huddles and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and support new employees and agency staff when required.
- Communicate effectively with your Team Leader, managers and cross-functional teams, escalating concerns as needed.

This Role Will Suit You If
- You hold a Level 2 Food Safety and Quality Standards qualification (or are happy to work towards one).
- You have experience working in production within an FMCG environment, ideally as a machine operator.
- You've got a good understanding of food safety standards.
- You have a good level of spoken and written English.
- You're well organised, with a good attention to detail and a sense of initiative.
- You work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment that's always changing.
- You're team-spirited, resilient, and bring a good sense of humour to the shop floor.
- You can be flexible with working hours when given 48 hours' notice.
This Role May Not Be For You If
- You'd prefer a desk-based role over a hands-on, physical production environment.
- You're not comfortable with manual handling or operating machinery.
- You struggle with change, pace, or shifting priorities day to day.
- You find it difficult to work closely as part of a team.

Terms
- 40 hrs/week, 7am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday
- 3-month probationary period
- Annual salary review - our 'movers and shakers' are always rewarded
- You'll need to be within easy commute of the office - 45-minute door-to-door commute times will only be considered
- Reports to: Team Leader
