Production Operators - GMP Manufacturing - 12m FTC

South Edinburgh

About the Role
We are looking for Production Operators to join a manufacturing team producing high-quality diagnostic products.

You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of production activities, following clear procedures to ensure products are made safely, accurately, and to the required quality standards. Full training will be provided, and there are opportunities to develop your skills and progress within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow manufacturing procedures and quality standards to produce products safely and accurately.
  • Complete production records and paperwork correctly.
  • Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment.
  • Prepare materials and products ready for production.
  • Carry out filling, labelling, packing, and other manufacturing activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
  • Check stock levels and ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Follow health and safety requirements, including wearing required protective equipment.
  • Work closely with colleagues and team leaders to meet production targets.
  • Support improvements to processes and ways of working.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, organised, and has good attention to detail.
  • Comfortable following instructions and working to set procedures.
  • Able to work well as part of a team.
  • Confident using basic IT systems.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing or production environment.

Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, laboratory, or regulated environment.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Ability to complete accurate paperwork and records.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a GMP, pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment.
  • Experience operating production equipment.

Additional Information

  • Full training will be provided.
  • The role may involve working across different areas of manufacturing.
  • Some manual handling is required.
  • Candidates must be flexible and willing to work overtime when required.
  • PPE must be worn in line with company requirements.
