Production Operator

The Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating production equipment to manufacture, blend and pack products in line with company recipes, specifications and operational standards. This role supports consistent line performance, product quality, accurate system transactions and effective shift communication, while ensuring full compliance with HACCP, GMP, quality and Health & Safety requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up and monitor automated and non-automated production lines and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow recipes, work instructions, GMP standards and safe systems of work at all times.
  • Accurately weigh, dispense and handle raw ingredients in line with production requirements.
  • Carry out product changeovers, cleaning, equipment strip-down and reassembly to required hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Perform in-process quality checks and monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Complete required documentation and SAP or system transactions accurately and on time to support material and stock control.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, HACCP, food safety, quality and Health & Safety compliance.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, support effective shift handovers, assist with colleague training and remain flexible to business needs.

Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or factory environment is preferred including operating machinery.
  • Strong understanding of production operations and safety procedures.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving materials and standing for extended periods.
  • FLT and PPT licences are desirable (training can be provided).
