We are looking for a Production Operator at our busy manufacturing facility in Marple. You will be responsible for a variety of engineering processes involved with the manufacture of components within the Aerospace industry. Your Responsibilities
- Scarfing
- Hand welding
- Operating pneumatic press and manual rollers
- Understand technical drawings, manufacture and/ or process free issue component according drawings, specs and other information
- Safely operate all machines as required, and in accordance with training within engineering department
- Ensure working time (chargeable and non-chargeable), and materials/ consumables (if appropriate) are accurately recorded in Syspro
- Final check on finished work
- Pass completed work to inspection as required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulations, directives and legislation
- Ensure own working area is kept clean and tidy
- Apply LEAN principles and aim for continual improvement

Your Profile
- Experience in a similar environment would be an advantage.
- Being a multi skilled operator would be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to read and understand engineering/technical drawings.
- Keen eye for detail with an ability to work accurately and within fine tolerances
