Overview
We are seeking experienced Production Planners to support manufacturing and operational delivery activities within a highly regulated environment. Working as part of a wider production planning function, you will be responsible for maintaining production schedules, coordinating manufacturing demand, managing material availability, and ensuring production plans remain aligned to operational priorities.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in manufacturing, materials planning, precision engineering, or mechanical engineering who have experience working within complex production environments and are passionate about driving efficient delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and support the Master Production Schedule, ensuring forecast dates and delivery milestones remain accurate.
- Develop detailed manufacturing plans in response to operational and production requirements.
- Ensure planning information is accurately maintained within MRP and ERP systems.
- Coordinate production demand and capacity planning activities across manufacturing and operational teams.
- Monitor material availability, supplier deliveries, and production readiness to support schedule adherence.
- Liaise with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to balance priorities and resolve planning conflicts.
- Apply Lean Planning and Production Control methodologies, including Kanban, Visual Management, and Push/Pull principles.
- Identify and address production risks, constraints, and barriers to delivery.
- Attend Visual Management meetings and ensure planning actions are progressed effectively.
- Support the creation and maintenance of production schedules and cost estimates.
- Produce planning reports and KPI updates to support operational decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, efficiency, and performance.
- Build effective working relationships across functions to support successful programme delivery.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive working environment and contribute to high-performing teams.
- Take ownership of planning challenges and proactively implement solutions to support delivery objectives.
