Your new role:
Based in South Essex, you will be joining a well-known manufacturing company which specialises in automotive component design. With a large order book and continuous projects for the next 3-6 years, this is an excellent time to join an ever-expanding business. This is a varied position with responsibility for coordinating production and some supply chain activities across the organisation.

You will manage the planning process from customer demand and material availability through to supplier coordination, production scheduling and final product delivery. Working closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Stores and external suppliers, you will help ensure materials, resources and production activities are effectively aligned

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules
  • Create production plans aligned with customer demand and wider business objectives.
  • Manage capacity across assembly, machining, inspection, testing and supporting functions.
  • Produce material requirements plans that support production schedules.
  • Manage demand forecasts for components, consumables and raw materials.
  • Work with Purchasing to monitor supplier performance and delivery schedule
    (This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required)

Skills & Experience required:

  • Previous experience in production planning, supply chain planning or manufacturing planning.
  • Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, automotive or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
  • Experience managing supplier schedules and ensuring material availability.
  • Good understanding of production scheduling, inventory management and capacity planning.
