Your Role at Husqvarna

Reporting into the Planning and Materials Manager, we are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Production Planner to create, maintain, and optimise production schedules.

This role sits within the Planning team responsible for overseeing Mould Shop planning activities.

Based at our manufacturing site in Newton Aycliffe, with the flexibility to work from home one day a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Planning team with accurate and timely reporting, performance analysis, and KPI tracking to support operational decision making
  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the JDE ERP system, including the accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of Item Master and Part data
  • Own and continuously improve the Moulding Build Plan, working closely with Production, Materials, Engineering, Quality, and other key stakeholders to ensure demand and supply requirements are effectively managed
  • Coordinate production activities in line with material availability, labour capacity, equipment capability, and planned customer requirements to optimise operational performance
  • Provide effective cover across planning activities when required, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining agreed planning standards
  • Monitor production progress against plan, proactively identifying risks and taking appropriate action to ensure products are delivered on time and meet required quality standards and customer specifications
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and cost reduction
  • Ensure system changes, master data updates, and process improvements are accurately implemented and aligned with business requirements and wider strategic objectives
  • Raise, coordinate, and participate in Engineering Change projects and new product introduction, ensuring appropriate resource, material, and production capacity is planned to achieve project milestones and implementation dates
  • Support and participate in product and material obsolescence projects, ensuring appropriate planning, stock management, and cross functional coordination throughout the process
  • Maintain effective communication across Planning, Production, Materials, Engineering, Quality, and other relevant functions to ensure priorities, risks, and actions are clearly understood and managed
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes, systems, and ways of working, promoting standardisation, data accuracy, and operational efficiency

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in production planning, production scheduling, materials planning, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse, manipulate, and present data to support effective planning and decision making
  • Practical experience using ERP/MRP systems, with the ability to maintain accurate planning and master data and utilise system information effectively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills,
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • A proactive and continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, data accuracy, and operational performance

Desirable:

  • Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to S&OP processes
  • Power BI skills
  • AI utilisation to support process efficiency improvements
