Production Planner
Location: Burghfield – Full Time On-Site
Contract: 1 Year Contract
We are looking for 3 experienced Production Planners to support manufacturing and science demand across operational delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the Master Production Schedule and ensure forecast dates are accurate.
- Develop detailed production plans considering time, cost, and quality.
- Maintain accurate information within the local MRP system.
- Apply Lean Planning and Production Control techniques, including Kanban, visual management, and Push/Pull processes.
- Manage production constraints and proactively resolve issues affecting delivery.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, suppliers, and other stakeholders to balance production demands.
- Support production cost and schedule estimates.
- Monitor and report production KPIs and forecast performance.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Attend visual management meetings and ensure actions are followed through.
- Build effective relationships across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams.

Essential Experience

- Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
- Engineering background, particularly Precision Engineering, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, manufacturing routes, and shop-floor operations.
- Experience managing materials, supplier deliveries, purchase orders, and production schedules.
- Experience reforecasting production plans in response to supply chain challenges.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and production reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Planning, Production Control, Kanban, or continuous improvement techniques.
