Production Planner & Controller
We are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business that is seeking a Production Planner & Controller to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to play a key role in driving production performance, inventory optimisation, and on-time delivery across a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with production, engineering, procurement, and customer-facing teams, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient scheduling and operational excellence.

Salary dependent on experience
Working hours – Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Gloucester (with occasional travel to other UK sites)

Job Description
- Develop and manage production schedules to ensure customer demand and operational targets are met
- Monitor inventory levels and material availability, working closely with procurement to minimise shortages and delays
- Analyse forecasts, customer orders, and capacity requirements to optimise production planning
- Track production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency
- Act as a key liaison between production, supply chain, engineering, and customer-facing teams to ensure clear communication and on-time delivery

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, inventory management, and production planning processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret operational data
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills with a continuous improvement mindset
