Production Planner

Mach are partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a Production Planner for their busy production site near Anwick. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established planning team where you will play a key role in ensuring production runs efficiently, customer orders are delivered on time, and operations remain one step ahead.

Working closely with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Commercial teams, you will coordinate production schedules, solve day-to-day planning challenges, and contribute to the success of a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules that balance customer demand, production capacity, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing daily production plans across multiple manufacturing areas.
  • Coordinating production schedules with Operations, Procurement, and Logistics.
  • Updating production plans following customer order changes.
  • Monitoring capacity and identifying potential production risks.
  • Communicating schedule changes clearly across departments.
  • Supporting new product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing planning experience.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • The confidence to work independently and make informed decisions.

Desirable Experience:

  • FMCG or food manufacturing background.
  • SAP or ERP system knowledge.
  • Scheduling or forecasting experience.

Shift Pattern

  • Permanent, Full Time
  • Continental Shift Pattern (2 Days On - 2 Days Off - 3 Days On)
  • 05:00 AM starts
