Role Overview
Keep production moving by turning demand into clear, achievable plans that deliver for customers every time.
As a Site Planner, you'll play a key role in ensuring customer demand is met safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. Working closely with Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Operations teams, you'll coordinate demand planning, forecasting, materials management and production scheduling to keep the site running smoothly while maintaining excellent service levels. This is a highly visible role where your planning expertise and analytical thinking will directly influence operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Duties
- Develop and maintain accurate production, demand and materials plans to support customer requirements.
- Create and communicate daily, weekly and medium-term production schedules.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, customer demand and service levels, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate protein and raw material requirements with Purchasing and operational teams.
- Lead planning inputs for S&OP, promotional events and seasonal peaks.
- Manage inventory levels to minimise waste, obsolescence and supply risk.
- Build strong relationships across Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and Customer teams.
- Analyse performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve service, efficiency and cost performance.

Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in a Planning, Supply Chain or Production Planning role.
- Confident using Excel and planning systems to analyse and manage data.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- An effective communicator who can build relationships at all levels.
- Able to identify issues, assess risks and make informed decisions.
- Supply Chain qualification or working towards one.
- Experience within chilled FMCG, food manufacturing or seafood production.
- Knowledge of inventory management, forecasting and S&OP processes.
- Experience using QAD or similar ERP/planning systems.
