A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Production Planning & Control Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end production planning within a manufacturing or build facility across SGT. You will lead the creation and governance of a robust, achievable production plan that balances demand, capacity, inventory, and customer commitments. Your role ensures SAP integrity, ERP compliance, and on-time delivery through effective load and capacity planning, materials alignment, and strong collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, and Senior Leadership teams.

You will lead a Planning & Control team of approximately 4-5 people, ensuring the right skills, capability, and governance are in place to support both day-to-day execution and longer-term S&OP objectives.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Own facility-level production planning across cells, work centres, parts, sub-contract operations, delivery forecasting, and inventory planning.
  • Lead load and capacity planning to ensure the production plan is achievable, visible, and committed by Operations.
  • Act as SAP and ERP compliance owner for the facility, ensuring master data accuracy and schedule integrity.
  • Ensure robust control of production flow across the full value stream, including sub-contractors, materials, and customer commitments.
  • Forecast material availability and cascade plans across Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, and external partners.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve capacity constraints, material shortages, and delivery risks impacting the plan.
  • Lead Planning & Control capability development, including SQEP levels, training plans, succession planning, and 1–2–1s.
  • Provide clear reporting, KPIs, and insight to support budget planning, S&OP, and senior decision-making.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
