Production Planner - Temp - Perm

Location: Canterbury, Kent

Department: Production Planning

Reporting to: Planning Account Manager

Working Pattern: 5 days per week, including weekend availability

⏰ Shift: Early start from 6:30am, typically 10–12 hours per day


We're Hiring: Production Planner

We are looking for a Production Planner to join our client's team. This is a key role within the Production Planning department, responsible for managing the day-to-day planning operation, processing customer orders and ensuring effective stock allocation.

You will work closely with the Planning Account Manager, Production, Quality Control, Despatch, Warehouse and other teams to ensure orders are completed efficiently, safely and in line with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Allocate stock according to customer specifications, receipt cards and internal company procedures.
  • Provide production teams, including PH, QC and Despatch, with accurate information relating to orders, customer programmes and stock.
  • Complete daily tasks allocated by the Planning Account Manager.
  • Identify and communicate potential issues that may affect order completion.
  • Liaise with the Planning Account Manager on a daily basis.
  • Monitor stock, orders, specifications and price lists to optimise fruit utilisation and achieve the best financial results.
  • Work with PH management to optimise grader and pack-line setups according to market requirements.
  • Ensure effective stock rotation across departments, including Warehouse and Packing Lines.

Pay Rates

Rates Are Dependent On Experience And Level

  • Level 1: £13.47 per hour | Overtime: £16.84 per hour
  • Level 2: £14.77 per hour | Overtime: £18.46 per hour
  • Level 3: £15.80 per hour | Overtime: £19.75 per hour
