Production Sequencing Lead
Production Sequencing Lead – Trillion Gene Atlas
About Basecamp Research
Basecamp Research is dedicated to solving major challenges in the life sciences by exploring Beyond Known Biology. Our teams build frontier AI models using BaseData, the world's largest ethically-sourced and globally representative biological dataset.
Our Global Research Team collects and curates biological data through partnerships with over 152 organisations in 28 countries, providing genetic diversity not available in conventional public databases. This enables us to design novel protein sequences and biological systems that accelerate therapeutic research and development.
In October 2024, we secured Series B funding, and in January 2026, we closed pre-Series C investment from NVIDIA. With hubs in London, UK and Boston, Massachusetts, USA, we collaborate with biopharma companies and academic institutions worldwide.
honouring our innovations, we’ve been recognised by Fast Company’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Biotech and featured on the Sifted AI100 list of Europe’s leading AI startups.
At Basecamp Research, we foster a culture of diversity, fun, flexibility, and adventure, disrupted by scientists, engineers, and field explorers who believe nature holds solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges. If you share our passion for biology, data, and AI, we’d love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
