Role Overview

Responsible for leading tool changes, TPM’s, changeovers, shutting down and starting machines ensuring targets are met with minimal disruption to production while seizing all training opportunities. Maintaining the highest standards, paying attention to fine detail and adopting a ‘right first time’ best practice

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary equipment is available to complete tool changes efficiently and prioritise tool changes in line with the allocated daily plan.
• Liaise with Production Team Leaders and Production Shift Leaders to ensure the appropriate labour is available for tool changes.
• Inspect product quality during machine start-up, maintaining high standards and a right-first-time approach.
• Identify production problems, seek effective solutions and carry out root cause analysis, communicating corrective actions where required.
• Deliver training on relevant processes and procedures.
• Maintain preventative maintenance methods through process excellence and carry out daily monitoring of equipment to support machine efficiency.
• Assess breakdowns, completing repairs where appropriate or reporting issues via the job card system.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and complete all mandatory training.
• Support the development of risk assessments and relevant health, safety and environmental documentation.
• Identify safety risks and defects, seek opportunities to improve the department’s safety and environmental impact, and encourage the reporting of Health and Safety risks.
