Shift Manager Opportunity in Newark
Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a well-established manufacturer to recruit an experienced Shift Manager to join their facility in Newark. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for people, safety, and performance across a busy production operation.
You’ll lead from the front, supporting your team to achieve production targets while improving quality, efficiency, cost, and operational standards.
Salary: £53,000
Hours: 4on, 4off days/nights
Company pension with up to 10% employer contribution

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and lead all shift activities to deliver production targets safely and efficiently
- Manage labor and resources to meet operational requirements and agreed KPIs
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across the operation
- Support, coach, and develop team members, building capability and accountability across the shift
- Manage performance, attendance, and other people-related matters effectively
- Promote a continuous improvement culture and encourage employees to contribute ideas
- Identify opportunities to reduce operating costs, energy consumption, and production waste
- Improve product quality, yield, and right-first-time performance
- Work closely with maintenance and technical teams to minimize disruption and improve plant performance

- Previous experience leading teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- A strong understanding of health and safety within an operational setting
- Experience managing production targets, KPIs, labor, and operational performance
- The ability to build effective teams and manage conflict confidently
- A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively at every level
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Confidence using IT systems to monitor and report performance
- IOSH Managing Safely would be advantageous
