We are recruiting for a Production Shift Manager to lead manufacturing operations on shift, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of production plans. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader looking to develop their career in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production teams, driving performance, engagement, and accountability.
  • Deliver key operational KPIs including OEE, waste reduction, quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Take ownership of shift operations, making real-time decisions to maintain production performance.
  • Manage safety and quality incidents, investigations, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and performance.
  • Ensure production activities are completed in line with site standards and operational plans.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching, absence management, and employee relations activities.
  • Coordinate effective shift handovers and communicate operational disruptions clearly.
  • Support training, development, and succession planning within operational teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience managing teams, performance, and change in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, operational excellence, and lean methodologies.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical understanding would be advantageous.
