Production Shift Leader

The Opportunity

The Production Shift Leader will assume responsibility for 80 staff across a swing shift rotation (6-2/2-10 7 days per week). The role does require overtime being worked on the weekend, which is well recompensed, but applicants should be aware. This shift-orientated role will require you to utilize all of your Manufacturing Management / Production Supervisory skills in a proactive and hands-on manner. The purpose of the role is to effectively manage a large manufacturing team and equipment resources to optimize production workflow, maximize employee performance, and ensure consistent, on-time delivery to meet forecasted customer demand.

The Role

  • Effectively lead a team of 80 staff in a busy production environment, focusing on the management of people, workflow, performance, output, quality, and health & safety.
  • Build a strong team culture based on communication, collaboration, and engagement.
  • Lead by example and provide guidance to your team, helping them develop their skills and reach their full potential.
  • Meet production schedules, achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  • Analyze production processes, identify and resolve challenges, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Develop and implement operational plans, manage resources efficiently, and oversee daily activities.
  • Engage employees through daily meetings and provide insightful performance evaluations.
  • Track production metrics, ensure KPIs are met, and continuously improve team practices.
  • Track overtime weekly to control cost and optimize productivity. Ensure a fair approach when allocating overtime.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
