Alexander Steele are working with an established ambient food manufacturing business to recruit a Production Manager (Nights) for their site in West Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will play an integral part of the leadership team, this is a multifaceted role encompassing operational management, quality control, people development, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all day-shift production activities, ensuring output targets are consistently achieved safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to Food Safety, Quality (BRC/HACCP), and hygiene standards across the operation.
  • Use Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies for continuous improvement to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop preventive maintenance plans in collaboration with the engineering and technical departments.
  • Contribute to major Capex projects related to line upgrades and new equipment installations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.

On offer:

  • Annual Salary is £50,000 - £60,000 DOE - Flexibility on this for exceptional candidates.
  • Shift Pattern - Night Shift - 12 hour shifts:
    • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
    • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday
