£34,268.01, £16.02 per hour

Hours

This is a full-time permanent contract, working a rolling average of 41 hours per week with shift rotations of days and some weekend working. Shifts include:

  • 4 on/ 4 off = 2 day, 2 nights
  • 5 on, 5 off = 3 days, 2 nights
  • 5 on, 5 off = 2 days, 3 nights

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Work in a safe way, following all appropriate safety procedures and wearing protective equipment correctly at all times
  • Conduct quality checks, ensuring that we meet product specifications
  • Perform machine/equipment hygiene and changeovers
  • Prepare ingredients for production and mix our recipes
  • Operate production line equipment to the agreed operational settings
  • Perform general tasks such as waste processing, order packing, etc.
  • Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators
  • Attend and contribute to short interval controls meetings and online performance reviews
  • Maintain general facility hygiene - floors, walls, and conveyors, etc., and work in a manner that epitomises ‘clean as you go’

Requirements

  • Working level of speaking English
  • Previous experience as a Senior Operator, or Machine Operator in a fast-moving production environment
  • Ability to read English
  • Numerate (able to understand and work with numbers)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a chilled environment
  • Comfortable working in an environment that processes raw protein (lamb, pork, turkey, chicken)

The Interview Process

  • Initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner, carried out remotely.
  • Skills/Behaviours interview, usually carried out in person.

Important Things to Note

  • This role is 100% based in our kitchen in Blyth, Doncaster.
  • You might know this role as a Machine Operator, Machine Technician, Manufacturing Technician but in Butternut, we call this a Skilled Operator.
