Product Strategy Director
Job Description Summary
The Global Partnerships and Solutions team is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Product Director to lead the strategy, development and delivery of products and capabilities funded through dentsu’s global Strategic Partner Innovation (SPI) programme.
The first dedicated product leadership role within the expanded SPI remit, the Product Strategy Director will establish the product discipline and development model required to deliver the next iteration of SPI, setting the standard for how strategically impactful products are developed, integrated, scaled and iterated.
The role will lead an allocated portfolio of products and strategic workstreams, leading technical requirements through discovery, design, development, integration, launch, adoption and ongoing evolution. It will ensure that capabilities committed within approved Statements of Work are delivered successfully and generate measurable value for dentsu, its clients and strategic partners.
Working deeply with global and local Data & Tech (D&T) teams, the role will provide the critical connection between SPI innovation and dentsu.Connect 4.0, aligning product strategies, technical roadmaps and development priorities.
The successful candidate will combine strategic and commercial thinking with hands-on product leadership, bringing clarity to ambiguity, driving decisions and moving complex products from ambition to operational reality.
The role will report to the Global Solutions Partnerships Senior Director, working closely with global and local D&T, Global Product, Commercial, Legal, markets and strategic partner teams across dentsu.
Key Accountabilities
The Product Strategy Director will set the blueprint in establishing the product integration and approach for dentsu strategic workstreams, taking direct ownership of an allocated portfolio of SPI products and workstreams. This will include:
- Establishing the product discipline and development model for SPI, creating a consistent approach to product definition, development, integration and scaling.
- Owning the full product lifecycle and client experience for the prioritised products, aligned with approved SOW commitments, client needs, partner priorities and the global D&T and dentsu.Connect strategies.
- Grounding products in evidence. Working directly with practitioners and markets to define the user, the problem and demand before SOW is committed.
- Translate client, market, partner and commercial needs into clear product propositions, use cases, requirements and development priorities.
- Act as a primary connection between SPI, our markets and the product direction, technical roadmaps, architecture, data requirements and development priorities.
- Lead internal product, engineering, data and development teams, alongside SPI delivery partners, setting direction, driving decisions and maintaining accountability for quality, outcomes and timelines.
- Ensure products committed are delivered to the required scope and standard, proactively managing dependencies, risks, decisions and changes.
- Accelerate the integration of SPI products and capabilities into dentsu.Connect, ensuring they are designed for interoperability, reuse and scale across dentsu’s wider product, data and technology ecosystem.
- Define the value proposition, target users, success measures and route to adoption and commercialisation for each product, using performance and commercial data to direct continued development.
- Lead product build, launch and enablement, clearly communicating product direction, value and progress to leadership, technical teams, markets, clients and strategic partners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
