Production Supervisor

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting an established specialist engineering manufacturer in Huddersfield to recruit a Production Supervisor. This is a varied position combining day-to-day production leadership with practical engineering support, continuous improvement and responsibility for quality, safety and performance.

You’ll be joining a close-knit manufacturing operation where you can make a genuine impact on the factory floor.

What’s on offer

  • Salary: £35,000
  • Working Hours: Monday-to-Friday day shift with a 12:30pm finish every Friday

Key responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include:

  • Managing production staffing and daily shop-floor activities
  • Ensuring output, quality and delivery targets are achieved
  • Leading, developing and motivating production employees
  • Supporting the assembly and testing of products when required
  • Managing the maintenance and improvement of production equipment and tooling
  • Troubleshooting manufacturing issues and identifying root causes
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects and future business growth
  • Maintaining strong communication across the production team
  • Ensuring health, safety and environmental procedures are followed
  • Maintaining high housekeeping standards and a clean, safe workplace

  • Previous experience supervising within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • A time-served engineering background
  • The ability to operate lathes and milling machines would be beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving and process-improvement skills
  • Confident communication and people-management abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
  • A flexible, hands-on approach, including occasional overtime when required
