Production Supervisor - Egg Innovation Centre
06.00am - 18.00pm, 4on4off
£15.78 P/H
We are looking for a confident and hands-on Production Supervisor to lead and support our production team, ensuring we consistently deliver against production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and food safety.
This is a fast-paced operational role where you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the department, keeping production moving, managing performance and ensuring your team has everything they need to succeed.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise and lead the production team to achieve daily production plans, KPIs and compliance targets.
- Coordinate the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring production operates safely, efficiently and to agreed standards.
- Ensure production lines and equipment are correctly set up and ready for operation.
- Carry out basic fault finding and respond quickly to issues that could cause production delays or downtime.
- Proactively resolve production stoppages, including issues relating to product feed, trays, crates and other operational requirements.
- Monitor performance across key areas including attainment to plan, egg utilisation, labour, waste, downtime, stock control and utility usage.
- Ensure products are consistently produced to the required quality and food safety specifications.
- Make sure equipment is operated safely and that Health & Safety procedures are followed throughout the department.
- Lead, motivate and develop the team, identifying training and development requirements and supporting improvements in individual and team performance.
- Address performance or conduct issues appropriately, using relevant company procedures where required.
- Ensure production records and documentation are completed accurately and maintained to an audit-ready standard.
- Promote a positive and inclusive working environment based on dignity, respect and teamwork, free from bullying, harassment or intimidation.

We’re looking for someone who is:
- Comfortable taking ownership in a busy production environment.
- Confidently lead a team while keeping a close eye on performance and standards.

You’ll ideally have:
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a production, manufacturing or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- A good understanding of production KPIs and how to drive operational performance.
- A strong approach to Health & Safety, quality and food safety.
- The ability to stay calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- A practical, hands-on approach to resolving production problems.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to address performance issues when required.
- Good attention to detail, particularly around production records, compliance and audit requirements.
